Malaysia has been a manufacturing center for Philips Lumileds for many years.
The opening of our new, wholly owned facility marks the
start of a new role and increased responsibilities for
our people and operations. As the new customer center for
Asia, Philips Lumileds Malaysia will be a resource for our customers
and partners as well as a center for training and innovation.
The facility, located in Bayan Lepas Penang Malaysia, is
expected to support the continued growth and technology
leadership currently enjoyed by Philips Lumileds worldwide. With
continued growth in the number of employees in Penang,
increased research and development responsibilities and
increases in manufacturing capacity, Philips Lumileds Malaysia
will be on the forefront of our company's efforts to enable
